How to take care of your luxury wach
Owning a watch and keeping it is like maintaining a long love story . Most of the time, we hang on to them like the apple of our eye. It evokes memories, emotions and sometimes even nostalgia. To ensure that this exceptional object does not lose its shine over time, it is important to maintain it . This is why, at Molitor we have decided to help you in this process.
Let’s start with the case
Not all models are maintained in the same way. Therefore, be sure to adapt the cleaning to the materials and characteristics of your timepiece.
Waterproof cases
The first step is to check that all the parts of the watch are well screwed. Once this is done, simply scrub the case gently with a soft, soapy brush. Rinse with clean water before wiping with a soft cloth.
The non-waterproof boxes
If your case is not waterproof, remove the strap and use a soft damp cloth to clean it. When the case is slightly damp, use a soft brush to get into the nooks and crannies. Always with a soft cloth, you can proceed to drying.
Without forgetting the bracelet
The possibilities of bracelets are becoming more and more diverse. Rubber and leather do not react in the same way to a cleaning with water for example. Here are all our tips.
Leather and NATO straps
Both materials are sensitive to moisture, so rubbing them gently with a soft cloth will help them last longer.
Rubber bracelets
The rubber bracelets are very easy to maintain. Indeed, soapy water and a little elbow grease will be enough to clean them.
Steel bracelets
Finally, a steel bracelet must be maintained like a waterproof case. A soft brush for cleaning and a soft cloth for drying.
