It remains true to the sleek design of the famous Mark 11 navigation watch, created in 1948 for the British Royal Air Force. For the very first time, the new IWC manufacture caliber 32110 is used in this particularly functional model. Its robust self-winding movement has a bi-directional ratchet winding system that provides a 72-hour power reserve. The watch has a particularly ergonomic 39 mm diameter case. Its bronze case, olive green dial and brown calf leather strap give it a unique style. Depending on the use of the watch, the bronze develops a patina over time and takes on a darker hue, giving the Automatic Spitfire Aviator Watch an exceptional character. The internal soft iron housing effectively isolates the movement from magnetic fields.
