PORTOFINO AUTOMATIC MOON PHASE

IWC created the Portofino collection in 1984. It owes its name to the idyllic village of the same name on the Italian coast, an exclusive vacation destination for the international jet set in the 1950s and 1960s. Since then, Portofino watches have added a touch of glamour and elegance to Mediterranean casualness. The Portofino Automatic Moon Phase is the first Portofino watch to have a 40 mm diameter case displaying the moon phases. Until now, this popular complication was only available on 45mm or 37mm models. This watch has a classic stainless steel case. Sparkling in the middle of a midnight blue sky, its gold moon also reinforces the magnificent contrast that its silver dial forms with its gold-plated appliques and hands. This casually elegant watch comes with a hand-painted brown alligator strap.
